Not so long ago I met someone new who thought I looked very familiar, not really thinking about it, I told him I was a Bollywood actress... I'm not. Why would I say that? Probably because I was a little drunk but mostly because I'm a bit of a weirdo who thought it was funny. Anywho, he was convinced and I played my alter ego for a couple of hours. I did end up revealing that I was not who I claimed to be by the end of the night, luckily we share the same sense of humor and he thought it was completely hilarious! A good night was had and a funny story created. It also led to the natural progression of wearing traditional Indian jewelry with my daily outfits. I'm into it.

I actually bought these heels a long time ago, I ordered them in black suede but got sent the smooth leather pair which I just never wore. So I decided to paint them, make them a little more me. I put thin strips of tape on the areas I didn't want to paint over and chose these three colours, I'm heaps into orange hues at the moment, see here. Happy with how they turned out and now looking for other unworn shoes to paint!

So happy to finally post these cute little shorts. This has been my uniform for the last couple of days, an oversize tee and some little shorts are too perfect for the hot days we've been having. Big love for X-Files!

I've been getting a lot of wear out of this skirt so switched it up this time and spun it around for an asymmetrical look. I love the crazy vibrant pop of neon these shoes give to any outfit and they are the perfect height for all day wear, double whammy!

I love how a simple little details bring an outfit together. I never really wore this crochet top until I cut the new scalloped hem, now it's a perfect cropped length and goes wonderfully with all the high waisted pants and skirts I have! Giving every outfit a little feminine touch.

Absolutely love this 'mullet' skirt. Sorry for conjuring up any unwanted Billy Ray Cyrus images. Actually, I'm not really sorry.  

This is by far the simplest DYI I've ever done. You should try it! Not only does the dramatic short-at-the-front, long-at-the-back proportions accentuate all the right places, it also gives you the chance to show off your shoes. Win!
