One of the obvious best things about buying vintage and thrifted items is that they are generally cheap, allowing you to be confident in making alterations yourself. I bought this beautiful French men's jacket that was far too strong shouldered for my liking. I've cut the arms off, so now it's a perfect winter laying number.

I've often gotten trickier alterations professionally done. Because finding that awesome matching suit that needs a little tweaking to be the perfect fit, is totally worth the extra dosh in my books. If you're in need of a talented alterations gal, and are based in Sydney, you should hit up my buddy Andrea at Wade Made. She'll get ya sorted!
